More frequently heard than seen, moose freely roam over large territories throughout the hardwood forests in central Maine. Partial to bogs, and enjoying a dip in the clear waters, Moose tend to be shy.
Moose hunting is prohibited here, and we seem to have quite a few of them. Huge in size, a human's heartbeat always quickens when one of these remarkable creatures strolls into view.
